The land around the Budhanath Temple was donated by landlords Hazari Singh and Akshevat Singh, along with their sons, who were residents of Kalyanpur and Bariyarpur. Their descendants continue to support the temple.
Budhanath Temple also has a historical connection with India's freedom struggle. The freedom fighter Tilka Manjhi is known to have visited the temple to pray for strength and blessings in his fight against British rule.
The Budhanath Temple features ancient idols of Lord Shiva (Baba Budhanath), Mother Parvati, Shakti Swarupa Maa Durga, and other Hindu deities. The temple's architecture and the deities' sculptures reflect its long-standing religious and cultural heritage.
