This situation prompted a group of young individuals, led by social worker Shandilya Nandikesh, to take action. Inspired by Bhagalpur’s status as a Smart City, they embarked on a voluntary initiative to clean and renovate the park.

Their efforts, supported by local residents, including Dr. Anjana Prakash and social worker Mithesh Bhardwaj, resulted in the removal of garbage, leveling of roads, and the establishment of a cleaner and more accessible park area. The transformation included the creation of Janata Park, enclosed with barbed wire, and the planting of palm trees.
